Leffingwell 350

We reach a major milestone in 2025, when the historic Leffingwell House turns 350 years old! In order to preserve this building and its collections for future generations to enjoy, the Society of the Founders of Norwich is launching ‘Leffingwell 350’, an initiative to ensure that the Leffingwell House Museum is maintained and kept thriving for another 350 years.

Recognizing the historic value of this building, the Society of the Founders of Norwich saved the building from demolition in the 1950s and relocated it to a new site, where it has become one of the finest historic assets open to the public in historic Norwichtown, CT.  Since then, the house has stood as a symbol of resilience and ingenuity.

But, like all structures, Leffingwell House requires maintenance (windows, woodwork, paint). Beginning in 2025, we intend to begin some essential repairs and renovations that will maintain the Leffingwell House as a representative example of Norwich history into the future.

We are inviting you to lend your support to the ‘Leffingwell 350’ initiative.  With your support we will begin working on projects at Leffingwell to keep it thriving for another 350 years.  Every contribution will help us move closer to completing our ongoing projects, whether you donate $5 or $500, each dollar is appreciated and will be well spent.

Donations can be made via credit card, debit card, or PayPal on our website donation page. We also accept checks, which should be made payable to the Society of the Founders of Norwich CT and mailed to 71 East Town Street, Norwich, CT, 06360.
